Investors read a lot of detail, and ASK Partners, the London property lender, wanted them to understand the opportunity first. ASK supported the purchase of Hepworth House, a large office building in Leeds opposite Leeds Beckett University and close to the University of Leeds, and we made the film that walks through the building, the tenant, the loan and the longer-term plan for the site.
We filmed a testimonial for Rubicon Partners at the Leeds office of Ring Automotive Supplies, which makes vehicle lighting, battery care and other aftermarket products and was backed by Rubicon. Ring's CEO and CFO talk about what working with Rubicon was like, from the reporting and governance that came in to how quickly decisions got made. "They trusted us and we trusted them," as one of them puts it. Other management teams can hear that from people who've been through it.
How a Leeds shoot works
Most of the process happens before anyone travels. We talk through the brief on a call, agree what the film has to do, and write the plan and the interview questions together. By the time the crew drives north, the shoot day is mapped out to the hour.
You will be paying for a crew to come from Suffolk, and you'll see exactly what that adds. The crew travels up the day before, so it's fresh and on site early. Travel and the hotel go on the quote as their own lines, inside a fixed price for the agreed scope, and the editing happens back in Suffolk, with the cuts sent to you to review online.
