For Rubicon Partners, the private equity firm, we filmed a testimonial with Bamboo, the Essex-based mobile phone refurbishment organisation. Bamboo started out buying used phones, refurbishing them and selling them back into the market. It now handles the phones behind insurance claims, so when a claim is approved, the replacement phone is collected, managed and sent out by Bamboo.
The film is Bamboo's CEO talking about the business and about what changed once Rubicon invested. "I think with Rubicon, they actually care about the business," is how the CEO puts it, and the rest of the film explains why.
